‘ Morning Magpie ’
Debra Balloch, a Rylstone resident, has followed her passion for art from her early days as a textile designer to her current work as an oil painter. In 2011, she and her sister Vivienne McDonald began painting at the Royal Art Society of NSW, where Debra discovered a deep creative fulfillment. Now a Fellow of the Society, Debra’s art reflects her love for tonal contrast, negative space, and rich colour—a legacy of her design background. Deeply inspired by the everyday beauty of Wiradjuri Country, Debra’s work captures the essence of her surroundings with warmth and vibrancy.
